This picture was just listed for sale on Ebay today. The title of the auction is “Houdini (Tony Curtis), movie photo 1953, with producer/director, George Pal”.  The man with Tony Curtis did work on the movie, but it’s not George Pal. Here is the link to the auction:

Very Rare Houdini Book For Sale

Since we talked about “The Master Mystery”  the other day and John Cox mentioned hearing about a French edition of the book, I figure now would be a good time to post this image of the book. This gem was published in Paris, 1921. It is a softcover pulp book with 239 pages. The cover is clear and sharp, although the scan shows differently. Please read on, as this very rare book is now for sale.

This book sold for $1,725.00 back in 2000 at Swann Galleries. Swann used to hold a yearly magic auction for many years. This book was one of the highlights of the auction. It would also be a highlight to any advanced Houdini collection. If you want something different in Houdini, something you don’t see every day, this is it.
