As I compared these two cards I noticed that there were someĀ differences. Both cards were produced by the same company and come from the same set made during the 1920′s. The card on the right is lighter in color, as well as much clearer than the one on the left. If you have dabbled in photography perhaps you would be able to explain the differences between these cards. I have seen other Houdini cards that were issued by different companies, but they issued variations in the same series. The differences in the cards varied from the image of Houdini being touched-up to the image being cleaned up. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could assistĀ with some photo detective work to decipher as to why these two cards are different. Thanks!

Would have to inspect the originals … with the likelihood of the variations stemming from different quality in the print runs.
Best, Jim
Thanks Jim. I guess that would make it easier. I was also wondering why the cards are in different shades. I think the lighter colored one was in an album and was exposed to less air over the years is my guess.
